The Bohdan Osadchuk School | New Europe in the post-truth era

The call for applications to the IV Bohdan Osadchuk New Eastern Europe School is now open!

We invite students, Ph.D. candidates, and young leaders to take part in the fourth edition of the Bohdan Osadchuk New Eastern Europe School.

The aim of the School is to initiate a debate among the young generation of Europeans on the current issues which are shaping the public debate in Europe. This year’s edition will focus on the issue of post-truth, which will be addressed from a multi-disciplinary perspective.

The participants of the School will have an opportunity to engage in a discussion with high-profile intellectuals and practitioners within a set of lectures and workshops.

An essential part of the School is work of the participants in small teams on a topic related to the subject of post-truth. Each group will have to prepare and defend arguments for their chosen topic. The best team will be awarded a chance to publish their work in the form of an article or essay in New Eastern Europe magazine. The division of the groups will be based on the participant’s preferences about one month before coming to Wojnowice (after the recruitment process).

The School’s schedule:

Participants are expected to take part in the entire programme. The School starts on December 3th and ends on December 10th, 2017. Accommodation in the Wojnowice Castle is booked from December 3rd to December 10th.
