The crisis related to the Russian Federation’s aggressive policy towards the European Union’s eastern partners has encouraged EU institutions to speed up the integration process in the last decades. There is no doubt that Georgia now has the chance to achieve the status of a candidate to join the EU. Given the Russian invasion of Ukraine, arguments revolving around security issues could favour Georgia.
