Calling young professionals, researchers and future think tankers!
Join New Eastern Europe and the Jan Nowak-Jeziorański College of Eastern Europe for a week long programme designed to provide participants with a better understanding of how think tanks works, what it means to be a think tanker and gain the skills for improving your abilities for a future role in think tank – from a Central European perspective!
Regardless of whether you have experience with expert organisations or came up with an idea of founding one yesterday, meeting with trainers from the most active and influential Euro-Atlantic non-governmental organisations and public institutions will help you understand the needs and prospects of your team and ideas. A special focus is also provided from the Central European perspective to give you a chance to learn how other young think tankers have made their careers in this region.
The Winter School will take place from December 3rd and 9th. The project will provide meetings and workshops, starting in Poznan in Poland, and concluding in Berlin in Germany. The target audience of the Winter School is young (up to 30 years) and/or aspiring researchers, academics, students who are based in the EU and want to learn more about how think tanks work, what is their role in building resilient democracies and gain experience from a Central European perspective.

You will be asked to include a motivation letter on why you want to join the project (2 pages max) and a CV during the application process. Deadline for applications is November 11th 2023 The organisers will cover programme cost and can reimburse part of the travel costs (up to 200 EUR) to and from the school.
