We are pleased to share with you the final report titled: „Ost/Wschód: Germany, Poland and Eastern Europe. Current state of affairs, scenarios and recommendations”
This report was researched and written by Adam Balcer, Program Director of the Jan Nowak-Jeziorański College of Eastern Europe in Wrocław, together with Tim Bohse, Project Coordinator at Deutsch-Russischer Austausch e.V. (DRA) and Adam Reichardt, Editor in Chief of New Eastern Europe.
This new report provides an evaluation of the most current and important issues identified in Russia, Belarus, Ukraine, the Black Sea region and Turkey, as well as the role of China. Each section is divided into three parts: the current state of affairs; possible scenarios; and recommendations for Germany and Poland. It was inspired by the discussions held during the Second German-Polish Round table organized in September 2020 in Wojnowice (Lower Silesia, Poland) together by the Jan Nowak-Jeziorański College of Eastern Europe (Poland) and the Deutsch-Russische Austausch (Germany). The report and the roundtable are parts of a project co-financed by the Foundation for Polish-German Cooperation and the Warsaw office of the Heinrich Böll Stiftung.
The report is published in the framework of the projects “Ost/Wschód. German-Polish Debates on the East” as well as the “Polish-German Roundtable Discussions on Eastern Europe”. The projects are co-financed by the Foundation for Polish-German Cooperation as well as the Warsaw office of the Heinrich Böll Stiftung.
